Day 1 Marrakech – Ait Benhadou – Rose Vallee

 

Departure at any date of your choice.

After breakfast you set off to Marrakech via the dramatic atlas mountain range that splits Morocco into two PARTS fertile plain and desert.

At its highest vehicle pass in morocco, tizi n tichka, the Atlas reach 2265 meters (7,400ft). Ascent up to the typical Moroccan fashion, famous Berber village Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, which has been used as a very important destination for international filmmakers, more than 24 films has been made there. ksar ait benhadou is one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory, from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech you will have stop there at the new village and walk to explore the old village that was subscribe as UNESCO site at year 1986. After exploring the village in your leisure we head up to ouarzazate for lunch and visiting the museum of cinema. The ascent trough the road of thousand Kasbah a crossing the oasis skoura to rose valley spend night at roses valley.

Day 2 Rose Valley – dades & Todra Gorges – Desert

At 8 o’clock you will begin your ascent 14 KM off Road to the dades valley with its extraordinary rock formation named as human bodies (a legend). Actually they look like monkey s fingers. After that you head up to tinghir setting between the High Atlas Mountains and anti-atlas mountains on route to the Todra Gorges, take a walk up in the towering Todra Gorges (300 M high 30 M WIDE AND 1KM TALE) .This picturesque river valleys make for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco. We will have lunch in Tinghir or in Tinjdad  at ksar elkhorbat. Heading into Erfoud, the desert gate across the barren land to the majestic erg chebi sand dunes.( erg chebi Erg Chebbi, it is the name of the sand dunes that defines the Merzouga Sahara desert,) the dunes can be pink, gold, or red in color Depending on the lighting. Arriving to hotel where your camels will be awaiting for you. Before you set off camel ride you’ll get a welcoming glass of mint tea. then a 2-hours trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents.(how to ride a camel) This could be optional if you would prefer to have a short camel trek to see sunset and return to the hotel to sleep * extra 20 EURO pp*. Dinner and breakfast are included.

Day 3 Sahara desert – erfoud – ziz gorge – azrou – fez

 

After sunrise, you will return by camel to the hotel  and have breakfast and shower and head out from Sahara desert trough a deferent road to rissani the second Islamic city which was build in the north Africa after kayrawan in Tunisia, if time allows, you can visit the local market with a donkey park the area is famous to for the million-year-old fossils. If you are interesting to the fossil you can visit the museum or the work shop fossils , after that you head up to Erfoud you across the eastern part of the high Atlas Mountains and begin ziz gorges (Moroccan Grand Canyon) to descend into midelt across the plain of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most part of the afternoon will be spent winding your way through the beautiful Berber town as if ran which means in Berber caves and azrou ( means stone) the home town of the cedre forests where we will stop to see the Barbarian apes, and that cedre gourad. we will reach fez approximately at 6 OCLOCK.
